Child Protection workforce strategy launched

A new strategy to guide the attraction, retention, and development of the child protection workforce has been launched by the Victorian Government.

The Child Protection Workforce Strategy 2021-2024 continues the Victorian Government’s investment in the Child Protection workforce to ensure it continues to meet current and future demand.

Consultation opens on local adult and older adult mental health and wellbeing services

The Department of Health has opened public consultation on a new service stream recommended by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.  

The Royal Commission called for up to 60 new Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Services (Local Services) across Victoria.

IBAC research report highlights corruption risks for community service organisations

Community service organisations (CSOs) play a critical role in delivering a range of welfare and social services to support individuals, families and communities.

Given the considerable public funds that support the delivery of many of these services, the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission (IBAC) has undertaken research into the corruption risks that could affect CSOs’ delivery of human services.
