Through the Jobs Victoria Community Traineeships Pilot Program, we can match your organisation with a young jobseeker who is enthusiastic about establishing a career in the community services industry.
Young people will undertake a 12-month full-time traineeship, while completing the nationally recognised and accredited Certificate IV in Community Services qualification with a local TAFE provider.
The Certificate IV in Community Services is a great entry-level qualification that can be adapted to meet the needs of a variety of different roles within the sector. Additionally, the unique and highly supportive TAFE delivery model will be able to contextualise learning experiences to ensure they include those relevant to your organisation.
Along the way, your supervising staff and the trainee will have access to professional development (including funding for supervision training), flexible wraparound youth work support, and other incentives.
This is your opportunity to be involved in a new, best-practice model of traineeships for the community services industry, featuring high levels of support for trainees and employers from start to finish.
Community service organisations wanting to find out more or take on a trainee can contact Emily Barter at VCOSS by email – Emily.firstname.lastname@example.org, or by visiting https://vcoss.org.au/sector-hub/key-projects/ctpp/
If you know a young person aged 15-24 who is interested in a community services traineeship, please let them know about this exciting opportunity.
