Changes to Human Services standards compliance

Changes to the Department of Health and Human Services’ arrangements for monitoring compliance with the Human Services Standards commenced on 1 April 2019.

On 1 April 2019, responsibility for following up Notifiable Issues in relation to the Human Services Standards transferred from the Agency Performance and Systems Support (APSS) staff in the operational divisions to the department’s Human Services Regulator Unit.

From now on, any new Notifiable Issues about your organisation will be managed by the Human Service Regulator Unit.

Local area APSS staff will continue to work with you to close out any Notifiable Issues received before 1 April 2019.
