Family Safety Victoria has developed new guidance to help community services organisations in the family violence and sexual assault sector be considered and flexible in their service delivery approach as stay at home restrictions tighten and ease across different parts of Victoria.

The guidance for coronavirus (COVID-19) planning in the Family Violence and Sexual Assault sector should be read in conjunction with the guidance for coronavirus (COVID-19) planning in the community services sector.

This guidance should also be seen as a supplement to the coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines for the family violence and sexual assault sector released by Family Safety Victoria in April 2020. The April guidelines provide overarching guidance to inform more detailed pandemic response planning at the sector and organisational level and support the development of business continuity plans. These guidelines remain relevant for areas that are in stage 3 ‘stay at home’ restrictions.
